opening day

today was the first day of practice. we had to be on the field ready to go at 8:30. we did our stretching for about half hour, and then we got split up to run the 60 yard dash. it was pretty cold, like prolly 50 degrees and windy. so we ran the 60, i had a 6.6, brandon flythe had a 6.5, and mitch had a 6.45. then we split up into our scrimmage teams, and 4 groups hit int he cages, and 4 groups did throwing from the outfield/infield. that was about an hour, and then we switched. then it was lunch time. we had olive garden at the clubhouse, it was pretty good. a little cold.

after lunch we had our scrimmage games...8 teams on 4 fields, for about 3 hours. it was long. okay though. my first at bat seemed like i had never played baseball before in my life. it was like he was throwing 400mph...haha. it was like that for everyone's first at bat actually. second atbat went better, got a single to right. that was it.

after the game we all went to buffalo wild wings for a team dinner or whatnot. the local news was there interviewing the coaches and stuff..that was about an hour and a half long, then we came back to the hotel. played some MVP on xbox, and whooped up on flythe, 6-2. now i'm on the computer, but since we don't get an internet signal in our room, i'm out by the pool and it's windy and like 55. cold. dry. cold. haha.

tomorrow we get to sleep in an extra hour, and have to be at the field at 9:30, doing the same thing, but no 60 yard dash or infield and outfield testing. should be a much better day, and it's supposed to get warmer...i think. oh well. prolly gonna hit up the other applebees tomorrow night, since we've already been to this one twice already. we'll see. there's 3 in town...it's crazy...you'd think they were deprived or something.

night.
